Three Pencil Studies of the Hand (possibly the Hand of Time for 'Time, Death and Judgement' drawn on reverse of Joynson's trade advert printed on paper sample: on the right-hand side of the sheet two large drawings of the left-hand and arm depicted slightly beyond the elbow (the hand holding the staff), both of the same size showing the same pose-the upper study more defined and blacker; in the top left corner a rough sketch of the right hand in the process of turning into a fist; studies of the hand and arm, probably for a figure from the allegorical (symbolist) subjefct picture 'Time, Death and Judgement'
